Oh, that's ingenious. I like it.

Thank you, by the way, for sticking in a distinction in pronunciation between golem and gollum. You know that many people think that Tolkien's Gollum was inspired by 'golem' even though they're nothing alike, and even pronounce it that way.

Even I get them mixed up sometimes, so I was pretty sure other people had that problem.

That was fun! One of the many things I love about your writing is how you tell very different stories in different styles yet there is usually a consistent thematic approach.

Thank you! The weird thing about that story is that it was harder to sell than almost anything I've written, so I'm glad people liked it. I wonder if no one's buying humorous stories now because things don't seem very funny these days.
