1. It’s nice having a dog that will eat anything you put in front of her, but it can be nerve-racking. A few days ago I found the wrapper for a package of silica gel, and nothing inside. I’m pretty sure Bonnie ate it — I mean, what else could have happened to it? We looked it up online and they said she would probably be all right, but we kept an eye on her for a good long while.
Someone once said that a Lab’s philosophy is, “If it looks like food, eat it. You can always throw it up later.”
2. Tachyon Books has curated a Bad Fairy Book Bundle (though when are fairies ever not bad, or at least mystifying to humans?), with e-books of Cold Hill Side by Nancy Baker, Nigh by Marie Bilodeau, F Is for Fairy edited by Rhonda Parrish, and my book The Uncertain Places — and if you pay more than $15 you’ll get six more books that sound equally terrific. Check it out here.
3. And still more books! Early Bird Books will have the e-book of my novel Tourists for $1.99 tomorrow. Subscribe to Early Bird here.
