Some Stuff

1. Doug’s been making various tweaks to my webpage to make it more enticing to search engines.  It used to be that I was one of the first Lisa Goldsteins to show up on Google, but lately that spot’s been taken by the Lisa Goldstein from One Tree Hill.  Now, though, my website has started getting more page hits.  All right, Ms. One Tree Hill — it’s on.  (Though really I just want to be the first site that comes up when you enter “Lisa Goldstein Author,” and thanks to Doug I mostly am.)

2. A few weeks ago we came home to find the soap dish from the bathtub on the bedroom floor, and the soap gone.  I was sure it would turn up sooner or later, but it never did.  The only possible explanation is that Bonnie ate it.  She seemed fine as always, though, and there were no streams of bubbles coming from her mouth, which, yes, I do know is only something that only happens in cartoons.  Would have been great to see, though.

3. Ivory Apples got a good review in Locus"Ivory Apples is a haunting story of what a classic fantasy work can do for and to its readers and its creator; on the other, it’s a pretty wonderful, clear-eyed, and unsentimental fantasy novel entirely on its own terms, muse or no muse." –Gary K. Wolfe, Locus

It's also been chosen as a featured book by Barnes & Noble for September, which I don’t think has ever happened to one of my books before.
