lisa_goldsteinWe walk some more around Heidelberg, trying to find Philosophenweg, Philosopher’s Way. We miss the first turning and when we finally get to the right path it’s very steep, and halfway there we decide that we’re not philosophers anyway.
A newer part of Heidelberg Castle
In the evening J. and B. take us out for something called Flammkuchen, flat bread with a wide variety of toppings. Three other members of the Discord group show up so we’re able to try lots of different kinds: with cream, peppers, wurst, tomato, speck, garlic, etc. Then there’s Flammkuchen for dessert, with apple and cinnamon.
One of the new people is from the US but has lived half his life in Germany, and he introduces us to something called a Radler, which is Sprite mixed with beer. It’s better than it sounds.
